General Job Description
As Lead Teacher in the primary Montessori classroom, you will be a compassionate, patient leader of your teaching team of 3 assistant teachers; a skilled and credentialed practitioner of the Montessori method for 20 children ages 30 months to 6 years; and a responsive community builder for the families in your classroom community.
You will embody grace and courtesy for your classroom community; creating a safe and edifying professional environment for your teaching team; a wholesome, inclusive, and developmentally appropriate learning environment for your mixed age classroom; while welcoming and nurturing a community of families that love the children you will guide.
As a lead Montessori teacher, you will be an ambassador of Ambrosia Montessori. The lead teacher is a guide to whom all who enter our school will look to for reliability, stability, organization, communication, consistency, and excellence in practice.
Ultimately, you will be a model of kindness, respect, and care for the team of teachers with whom you will work, the children and the families that will join our program; and for all people that enter our building. You will touch a large community of lives, all of whom will need your grace, your courtesy and your leadership.
Full-Time Salary Range: $48,000 to $60,000 per year
Anticipated schedule: 7:00am to 3:30pm with an hour lunch break.

As an Assistant Montessori Teacher in the primary Montessori classroom, you will be a compassionate, patient guide for 20 children ages 30 months to 6 years; a receptive, courteous, and graceful assistant to the Montessori Lead teacher; and a responsive community builder for the families in your classroom community.
As a Assistant Montessori teacher, you will be an ambassador of Ambrosia Montessori. You will learn the expectations of the Montessori approach and the Montessori environment. Ultimately, you will be a model of kindness, respect, and care for the team of teachers with whom you will work, the children and the families that will join our program; and for all people that enter our building.
You will be encouraged and supported to continue your Montessori education with continuing education monetary supports and professional development opportunities.
Wage Starting at $20 per hour
Anticipated schedules: 8:00am to 4:30pm with an hour lunch break; 9:00am to 5:30pm with an hour lunch break; and 10:00am to 6:30pm with an hour lunch break;
